We destroyed the car of the fascist Gülten Semtürk in the night of October 6-7.
This action is a reaction to the continuous poison gas attacks by the Turkish military on the gerila of the PKK and the repression of the European states against the Kurdish freedom movement.
For over 5 months, the Turkish military has been deliberately using poison gas against the Gerila in the mountains of Kurdistan. The use of chemical weapons of war is well documented and violates all international conventions. Nevertheless, there is no reaction at all. European “values” count only if they coincide with the interests of the European states.
Switzerland has deepened its trade relations with Turkey on October 1st with the ratification of the free trade agreement, Germany remains Erdogan’s most important partner and the French state is positioning itself more and more directly against the Kurdish movement.
Various Kurdish associations have been searched in recent months, activists arrested and imprisoned. Last weekend, a legal protest camp of the Kurdish movement against the isloation of Abdullah Öcalan was brutally attacked by the police.
The repression against the PKK is clearly politically motivated. For Germany it is no problem to sit at the same table with the Islamist Taliban, but the PKK is criminalized.
These examples show that European states do not act on the basis of ethical or moral motives. They are acting on the basis of their own interests: exporting capital and holding back refugees – and they have found a good trading partner in Erdogan.
In addition to state and economic support, Turkish fascism also has a violent street base in the form of the Gray Wolves in Europe. This far-right organization, propagates ethnic nationalism and seeks to rebuild a Turkish empire.
Their ideology is based on the devaluation of everything that is not “Turkish,” the oppression of women, and open anti-Semitism,
Organizationally, they are directly linked to the ruling MHP party and they use violence to implement their political agenda. Attacks on Kurds, Armenians and leftists are on the agenda, and they do not shy away from murder. The most recent examples are the murder of the HDP politician Deniz Poyraz and the murder of a Kurdish family in Konya.
They are also very well organized in Europe. In Germany alone, they have over 6000 members and repeatedly attack Kurds, Armenians and left-wing structures. In Switzerland, the Grey Wolves are organized.
One of their members is Gülten Semtürk, an avowed fascist. With rune symbols of the Grey Wolves attached to his car, he openly displays his ideas. This makes him a legitimate target for attack.
The situation in Kurdistan is serious. We cannot rely on the help of the European states, we have to act ourselves.
The enemies of the Kurdish movement, the enemies of the revolution in Rojava are also here in Europe. They are European and Turkish state representatives, grey wolves, arms companies and banks.
In the words of guerrilla commander Bêrîtan Dersim:
“Everyone must do what they can. If you can’t do anything, at least organize a rally, distribute leaflets, inform people or throw a stone. Do what you can. Young people, go there, break the windows of the AKP offices, set fire to their cars. There is so much that can be done.”

Wir haben in der Nacht vom 6. auf den 7. Oktober das Auto des Faschisten Gülten Semtürk zerstört.
Diese Aktion ist eine Reaktion auf die andauernden Giftgas-Angriffe vom türkischen Militär auf die Gerila der PKK und der Repression der europäischen Staaten gegenüber der kurdischen Freiheitsbewegung.
Seit über 5 Monaten setzt das türkische Militär gezielt Giftgas gegen die Gerila in den Bergen Kurdistans ein. Die Verwendung chemischer Kriegswaffen ist bestens dokumentiert und verstösst gegen jegliche internationalen Konventionen. Trotzdem gibt es keinerlei Reaktionen darauf. Europäische «Werte» zählen nur dann, wenn sie sich auch mit den Interessen der euopäischen Staaten decken.
Die Schweiz hat am 1.Oktober ihre Handelsbeziehungen mit der Türkei mit der neu Ratifizierung des Freihandelsabkommen noch weiter vertieft, Deutschland bleibt Erdogans wichtigster Partner und auch der französische Staat positioniert sich immer direkter gegen die kurdische Bewegung.
Verschiedene kurdische Vereine wurden in den letzten Monaten durchsucht, Akitivst*innen verhaftet und inhaftiert. Am letzten Wochenende wurde zudem ein legales Protestcamp der kurdischen Bewegung gegen die Isloation Abdullah Öcalans brutal von der Polizei angegriffen.
Die Repression gegenüber der PKK ist klar politisch motiviert. Für Deutschland ist es kein Problem mit der islamistischen Taliban an einen Tisch zu sitzen, aber die PKK wird kriminalisiert.
Diese Beispiele zeigen, dass die europäischen Staaten nicht anhand ethischer oder moralischer Bewegründe handeln. Sie handeln aufgrund eigener Interessen: dem Export von Kapital und der Zurückhaltung von Geflüchteten – und sie haben in Erdogan einen guten Handelspartner gefunden.
Neben staatlicher und wirtschaftlicher Unterstützung hat der türkische Faschismus mit den grauen Wölfen in Europa auch eine gewaltbereite Basis auf der Strasse. Diese rechtextreme Organisation, propagiert einen ethnischen Nationalismus und strebt den Wiederaufbau eines türkischen Grossreiches an.
Ihre Ideologie basiert auf der Abwertung von allem was nicht «türkisch» ist, der Unterdückung von Frauen sowie einem offenen Antisemitismus,
Organisatorisch sind sie direkt an die Regierungspartei MHP angebunden und sie setzen ihre politische Agenda mit Gewalt durch. Angriffe auf Kurd*innen, Armenier*innen und Linke stehen auf der Tagesordnung, auch vor Mord schrecken sie nicht zurück. Jüngste Beispiele sind der Mord an der HDP- Politikerin Deniz Poyraz oder die Ermordung einer kurdischen Familie in Konya.
Auch in Europa sind sie bestens organisiert. Allein in Deutschland haben sie über 6000 Mitglieder und greifen immer wieder Kurd*innen, Armenier*innen und linke Strukturen an. In der Schweiz organisieren sich die Grauen Wölfe.
Eines ihrer Mitglieder ist Gülten Semtürk, ein bekennender Faschist. Mit am Auto angebrachten Runen-Symbolen der grauen Wölfe zeigt er offen sein Gedankengut. Damit macht er sich zu einem legitimen Angriffsziel.
Die Situation in Kurdistan ist ernst. Wir können uns nicht auf die Hilfe der europäischen Staaten verlassen, wir müssen selber handeln.
Die Feinde der kurdischen Bewegung, die Feinde der Revolution in Rojava befinden sich auch hier in Europa. Es sind europäische und türkische Staatsvertreter*innen, Graue Wölfe Waffenkonzerne und Banken.
In den Worten der Guerilla Kommandantin Bêrîtan Dersim:
«Alle müssen tun, was sie können. Wenn man nichts tun kann, dann sollte man wenigstens eine Kundgebung organisieren, Flugblätter verteilen, die Menschen informieren oder einen Stein werfen. Tut was ihr könnt. Jugendliche, geht hin, zerschlagt die Scheiben der AKP-Büros, zündet ihre Autos an. Es gibt so viel, was getan werden kann.»
